Originally from Oslo, Norway, corporate training startup Attensi has raised $ 26 million from New York-based Lugard Road Capital, DX Ventures (a Delivery Hero-backed VC fund) and existing shareholder Viking Venture. The new funds will be used for expansion in North America and Europe.
Attensi uses a gamified approach to corporate training and employs 3D simulations of their workplace and work processes. Competitors include companies such as GoSkills and Mindflash SAP Litmos Skilljar.
With the pandemic moving all office work to remote, digital training platforms like this one, this will come in handy.
This is also another recent example of US VCs looking for startups in Europe and putting pressure on local VCs.
Trond Aas, co-founder and co-CEO of Attensi, said in a statement: “With Gamified Simulation Training, we have combined the best of workplace psychology with our expertise in simulations and gamification to create a new category of training solutions.”
The company claims to have achieved an annual return on sales of 63%. His customers include Daimler Mercedes Benz, Circle K, Equinor, BCG and ASDA.
Doug Friedman, Partner at Lugard Road Capital, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to invest in the Attensi team as they work to forever change and improve the way businesses learn and develop through their Attensi solutions . “
